The speculation about Urban Meyer’s interest in a job in the NFL is only growing this weekend.

On Sunday, the former Ohio State head coach was spotted at FedEx Field in the owner’s suite with Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder. Now, speculation is starting to swirl that Meyer could be a potential candidate to become the next head coach of the Redskins.

Meyer was on hand for Sunday’s game as Washington hosts the Philadelphia Eagles. Two key members of Ohio State’s 2018 Rose Bowl team, quarterback Dwayne Haskins and receiver Terry McLaurin, are both currently playing for the Redskins.

Washington made a change at head coach earlier this season, firing Jay Gruden. Currently, Bill Callahan is serving as the interim head coach. The Redskins were 3-10 entering Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Meyer has been rumored to be a strong candidate for a potential vacancy with the Dallas Cowboys, should owner Jerry Jones decide to part ways with Jason Garrett. Meyer said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd months ago that he would listen to an offer for that job, calling it one of the premier jobs in sports.

With Haskins at quarterback in Washington, Meyer’s candidacy for the vacancy there is an interesting one. However, it’s unknown if he’d have any interest in taking over the job in D.C., even with a few of his former players on the roster.

On Saturday, Meyer was in Philadelphia for the annual Army-Navy game.
