Urban Meyer still remembers Rondale Moore’s monster performance: ‘He destroyed us one year’

Urban Meyer doesn’t need to be reminded of Rondale Moore. The head coach has experienced just how dangerous the wide receiver can be with the ball in his hands.
This weekend, the Moore’s Cardinals will travel to Jacksonville to take on the Meyer-coached Jaguars in a Week 3 NFL matchup. Asked about the kind of weapon Moore is, Meyer reflected on that 2018 Ohio State-Purdue game.
“I have great respect for him. He knows that,” Meyer said. “I mean, I saw first hand. Yeah, he destroyed us in one year. He’s their primary returner — I think he’s leading the team in receptions, too. …You gotta contain him.”

Moore played a critical role in Purdue’s 2018 upset victory over No. 2 Ohio State at Ross-Ade Stadium.
In Purdue’s 49-20 upset win, Moore was credited with 252 all-purpose yards, which included 170 receiving yards. He also scored 2 touchdowns in the contest.
Through 2 games of the NFL season, Moore has hauled in 11 receptions on 13 targets for 182 yards and a touchdown. The rookie receiver has also returned a pair of kickoffs for 43 yards. Arizona is 2-0.
Meyer, also in his first year in the NFL on the sidelines, is still looking for his first victory with the Jaguars.
