A native of Hinsdale, Illinois, the almost 59-year-old Bohn has an extensive career in athletic administration. A student-athlete in both football and baseball at Kansas in 1982-83, he originally pursued coaching as a graduate assistant with the Ohio Bobcats in 1983-84.
Joining the Air Force Falcons as an associate athletic director in 1984, Bohn got his first shot as the head man with the Idaho Vandals in 1998. Remaining in Moscow until 2003, he has also served as the athletic director at San Diego State (2003-05), Colorado (2005-13) and Cincinnati (2014-19).
A special adviser to University President Carol L. Folt, Roberts had been serving as the interim athletic director since Lynn Swann announced his resignation in September.
On the heels of a 32-point loss at home to No. 7 Oregon (8-1) on November 2, USC (5-4) will look to get back on track against Arizona State (5-3) at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe on Saturday. Set to kick at 3:30PM ET, the game will air on ABC.
