Michigan State and Northwestern both kick off B1G play this weekend, and most fans are expecting a defensive struggle when the teams square off.

With Mark Dantonio leading the Spartans and Pat Fitzgerald leading the Wildcats, you can bet some strong defense will be played throughout. Both coaches have a reputation as being defensive-minded leaders at their respective schools, and the talent on that side of the ball is deep for this game.

Additionally, Michigan State is coming off a low output of just seven points against Arizona State. Northwestern did put up 30 points against UNLV, but the Wildcats struggled heavily in Week 1 against Stanford.

As the teams continue preparing for Saturday, Odds Shark put out a computer prediction for the contest. While this game is likely not going to break any scoring records, the prediction actually sees a decent amount of scoring between the two teams.

The computer is predicting Michigan State to win 26.5-15.8. Interestingly enough, that would also put the game total over the 38.5 O/U mark:
