It looks like fans of Indiana and Penn State may get treated to a dog fight to open the season.

The all-time series between the two schools has been dominated by the Nittany Lions with James Franklin currently owning a 6-0 record against the Hoosiers. However, the past two games in the series have been decided by a total of 12 points with Tom Allen’s squad fighting hard each time.

Entering Saturday’s season opener, plenty of people are expecting another close game between the two schools. Penn State is currently a 5.5-point favorite, and at least one Vegas prediction sees the finish even closer than that.

According to the computer prediction at OddsShark, Penn State is expected to win the game, but it will be an incredibly tight score. The current prediction has the Nittany Lions winning 32.0-29.2:

Regardless of who comes out on top, it sure looks like Saturday’s season opener between Indiana and Penn State could turn out to be the game of the week. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on FS1.
