The matchups aren’t always the most important thing in Week 1. Yes, it’s nice to have a pair of top 25 teams go head-to-head early in the season, but it’s really the return of football that everyone is celebrating.
Still, there will be plenty of entertaining games on the first full weekend of the season — a couple of which could even have College Football Playoff implications.

OddsShark has been predicting scores for several college football games on the Week 1 schedule, giving fans (and bettors) an idea of what to expect in the first week of the season. And when it came to Saturday’s matchup between Ohio State and Oregon State, it was pretty one-sided.
Buckeye fans are going to love this. Beaver fans…maybe find something else to do with your Saturday.
The Vegas computer has projected Ohio State with the most lopsided victory of the weekend, putting the Buckeyes with a 55.4 scoring total while Oregon State is projected with 2 points.
Sounds like a great way to start the college football season in Columbus.
Oregon State and Ohio State will square off at noon ET. on Saturday.
