Ohio State will be a double-digit favorite as it travels to face Rutgers next weekend.
The Buckeyes are currently 15.5-point favorites over the Scarlet Knights, according to DraftKings. That’s the lowest point total Ohio State has been favored by vs. the Scarlet Knights since Rutgers joined the Big Ten in 2014.
The total for the game has been set at 56.5.
Ohio State has won all seven previous meetings vs. Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights and Buckeyes never met prior to 2014.
Rutgers has covered the spread in its last two games vs. Ohio State. Last year, the Scarlet Knights were competitive vs. the Buckeyes but ultimately fell 49-27.
This season, both teams enter this game with a 3-1 record. Ohio State suffered a loss to Oregon back in Week 2 and Rutgers just picked up its first loss of the year against Michigan last weekend.
It’s unclear who will start at quarterback for Ohio State this week. Kyle McCord started in a win over Akron in Week 4 as CJ Stroud nurses a shoulder injury.
Rutgers is trying to become bowl eligible this season for the first time since 2014.
