The number of teams capable of winning a national championship continues to dwindle. Each week, the field gets narrower and narrower.

On Sunday, following the 12th week of the season, SuperBookUSA updated the College Football Playoff national championship odds, which included 11 teams. Two of those teams hail from the B1G.

Alabama (2/5) and Clemson (7/2) were given the best odds to win this year’s national title, and understandably so. After that, Georgia and Michigan tied with the third-best odds, coming in at 12/1.

A little further down the list was Ohio State, which came in at 25/1 odds.

The odds for one of those teams will go out the door after Saturday, depending on outcome. Michigan and Ohio State will go head to head this weekend with a trip to Indianapolis on the line.

While the winner will still be in the College Football Playoff conversation for at least another week, the loser will be out of the picture.
