That got ugly fast.

No. 13 Ole Miss was taking on Tennessee and the Vols were trying for a first down, which was ruled short after a review with 54 seconds left in the 4th quarter. After the call, fans took to throwing stuff on the field — including a golf ball thrown toward Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin.

The cheerleaders left the field, the band left the stands and Ole Miss left its sideline due to the items being thrown from the stands. It wasn’t a good scene. Take a look:

Not what you want to see at a college football game.

Vols fans were understandably frustrated with the situation. Their team was down 31-26 with less than a minute to play at Rocky Top against Kiffin’s Ole Miss team. It’s all unfolding quickly, and the game entered a 20-minute delay to clean everything up and clear out parts of the stands.
