Purdue is potentially losing a key piece on the coaching staff. There have been reports that the Boilermakers DC is on the move.
Wake Forest is going after Purdue DC Brad Lambert to take over in the same role for the Demon Deacons. Pete Thamel of Yahoo provides more context on the situation:

The Boilermakers struggled defensively until Lambert’s arrival this season. The Boilermakers defense has only given up 30 points 3 times this season.
Purdue potentially has a top draft pick in DE George Karlaftis in this year’s upcoming 2022 NFL Draft.
Purdue finished the season with a bowl win, the TransPerfect Music City Bowl against Tennessee 48-45 in OT. The Boilermakers finished the season 9-4 and 6-3 in B1G play. This is the best the Boilermakers have ever finished under head coach Jeff Brohm.
