Warde Manuel is glad the regular season is over. He’s especially glad Michigan’s regular season ended with another win in The Game, this time beating Ohio State 30-24 behind acting head coach Sherrone Moore.
On Saturday, the Wolverines concluded the 3-game suspension of head coach Jim Harbaugh. Now, Harbaugh is eligible to return to the sidelines for the B1G Championship next Saturday.
Following the win, Manuel says the finish to the regular season is a testament to Harbaugh’s faith in his coaching staff and the work of Moore:
“Jim has a lot of faith in his staff and a lot of faith in Sherrone,” said Michigan’s AD per MLive.com. “That gives me great comfort with him being the one leading this team. He’s done an outstanding job. Nothing that I didn’t expect.”

As for winning the final 3 games of the regular season that came at Penn State, at Maryland and vs. Ohio State, Manuel believes it’s another credit that Michigan has “a great team.” Adversity did not slow this team down as Manuel expressed pride in the players.
“I think it proved that this team was a great team,” Manuel said. “And they can play through the adversity of their coach being suspended. (I’m) just really proud of ‘em and their effort, the way they stick together, their passion to play for each other. It’s just remarkable. That’s what it shows more than anything else.”
And if there was any doubt, Manuel said he is indeed to get Harbaugh back from his suspension moving forward.
“I’m glad to have Jim back,” he said. “I really am. Yes, sir.”
