Aaron Wheeler might have qualified to receive his pilot’s license on Thursday night.
Following a missed dunk by Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield — he suffered a pretty big rejection from the rim — Purdue’s Wheeler sprinted out ahead of the pack, handled a pass from Carsen Edwards and took flight. His two-handed slam got Boilermaker fans fired up.

Yeah, that’ll get a crowd on its feet.
Purdue is hoping to reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 2000 and its first Final Four since 1980. Tennessee has never reached the Final Four.
