Jerry Emig has one of the toughest jobs in college football. He’s a the sports information director of Ohio State football, working to connect media outlets with players and coaches while trying to provide all the essential information about the Buckeyes that everyone clamors for on a weekly basis.
But none of that compares with the challenges and responsibility Emig has at home.
Emig’s son A.J. was born with Down Syndrome and also suffered from other medical issues early in his childhood. The conditions forced Emig and his wife to spend many nights in a hospital room, as young A.J. continued to fight for his life.
Despite all of the tough nights and the tremendous challenges, Emig’s love, care and support for his son never wavered and his faith only grew stronger. It’s a truly incredible, emotional and inspirational story documented by Big Ten Network.
This is not just an @OhioStateFB story. This is a story about hope and love between parents and their son.
