Welcome back, Brandon Snyder.
Six moths ago, the Hawkeyes safety tore his ACL and was expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2017 season. Instead, Snyder got the start for Iowa against Illinois. And took advantage of that opportunity.
Midway through the second quarter, Illinois quarterback Jeff George, Jr. threw an ill-advised pass which found its way to Snyder’s hands. After the catch, he had plenty of blocking and enough room to turn it into an Iowa touchdown.
In April, he tore his ACL. Six months later, Brandon Snyder is back.

Snyder intercepted three passes a season ago and might’ve been one of the most underrated defenders in the conference in 2016.
It hasn’t taken the safety long to make an impact this season.
