Jim Harbaugh’s record against Michigan State and Ohio State has been an ongoing topic of discussion. Anytime a conversation about Michigan football commences, that statistic pops up.
With a stellar defense returning and the arrival of talented quarterback Shea Patterson, many believe this may be the year Harbaugh and the Wolverines get over the hump.
One BTN analyst is on that bandwagon.
Jeremy Leman believes that Michigan will beat both the Spartans and the Buckeyes in 2018, despite both games being played away from Ann Arbor.
“Michigan, for the first time in the Jim Harbaugh era, will go to Michigan State and Ohio State and come away with victories.
“We know Michigan’s defense can keep them in any game, but I think Shea Patterson, with Donovan Peoples-Jones on the outside…it all comes down Patterson making plays.”
Michigan fans would certainly be pleased if that bold prediction came to fruition, as Michigan is just 1-5 against the Spartans and Buckeyes under Harbaugh.
Beat Michigan State AND Ohio State.
