Nebraska needed a big play to stay in the game.
It was still the first quarter, but Oregon was starting to pull away. Down 14-0 and facing a third-and-nine, Nebraska needed to find the end zone to keep pace with the Ducks. Tanner Lee threw a pass up for grabs and, fortunately, one of his guys game down with it.
That guy was receiver De’Mornay Pierson-El.

That touchdown grab was the second of the year for Pierson-El and the third TD pass for Lee.
It was a huge momentum play the Huskers desperately needed early in the game.
