Nine years ago, Dwayne Haskins had a goal. That’s right, an 11-year-old knew he wanted to play college football and had a dream of where he’d play.

Ohio State.

On Wednesday, Haskins sent out a video of his younger self, proclaiming that he one day wanted to be a Buckeye. “This is awesome,” he said. “I want to go to college here.”

That dream was realized in 2016, when Haskins signed with Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes to continue his football career in Columbus. He was a member of Ohio State’s fourth-ranked recruiting class and was ranked as the No. 7 QB of 2016.

Now, the next goal for Haskins is to be an eventual starter for the Buckeyes. That probably won’t come until later in his career, as Ohio State is pretty well set with J.T. Barrett under center.

The lesson here from Haskins?

If you can dream it, you can do it.
