WATCH: Egg Bowl brawl leads to epic unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

Thanksgiving is well-known as a great day for football. Among the college ranks, Mississippi State and Ole Miss squared off Thursday night in a heated, in-state rivalry game known as the Egg Bowl.
This year’s contest was all Mississippi State as the Bulldogs rolled to a 35-3 win. However, the game on the field was overshadowed by a terrible brawl during the game.
The brawl began following a play at the end of the third quarter that would be waved off due to the game clock expiring before the snap. Regardless of the play, the brawl still took place and cleared both benches.

The end result of the brawl? An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that was called on “all players of both teams.” Don’t believe us? Check out the clip of the referee’s call, courtesy of ESPN:
