Purdue’s offense took some time to get rolling in the first half, but it came out firing on all cylinders right out of halftime.
Early in the third quarter, holding a 14-10 lead over Vanderbilt, the Boilermakers drew up a play-action pass, allowing Elijah Sindelar to launch a deep pass down the field to receiver Jared Sparks. An early jump by a Commodores defender helped Purdue get into the end zone.
It was officially a 50-yard strike from Sindelar to Sparks.

That touchdown gave Purdue a 21-10 lead early in the third quarter against Vanderbilt. It’s a much better start to the second half than the Boilers had a week ago against Nevada.
We’ll see if they can keep it rolling.
