WATCH: ESPN’s David Pollack says Michigan State being ‘overlooked’ vs. Ohio State

David Pollack doesn’t care about the sizeable spread in Ohio State’s favor. He doesn’t care about the Buckeyes’ win probability, either. The ESPN college football analyst knows that Michigan State isn’t being given the respect it deserves.

During his appearance on College Football Live, Pollack was asked about Michigan State’s eight percent chance to win — via ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI). That minimal chance doesn’t seem to sway Pollack, who knows the Spartans are capable of walking out of Columbus with a victory.

“Just out of curiosity, what was the FPI last week with Ohio State and Iowa?” Pollack asked on the show. “It was 11 percent for Iowa last week. So, if I’m doing my math correctly…89 percent for Ohio State. I don’t care about FPI. Of course (Michigan State) is being overlooked.”

Michigan State and Ohio State have had some classic battles in the past. In 2014, the Buckeyes were able to win the B1G East after defeating the Spartans in East Lansing. The following year, Michigan State knocked off an undefeated Ohio State team in Columbus.

Another B1G East title hangs in the balance on Saturday night. And regardless of what FPI might say, Pollack, and a lot of others out there, believe Mark Dantonio and the Spartans have a real shot to get a victory in Columbus.
