WATCH: First ‘Iowa Wave’ under the lights in 2018 is simply wonderful

The Iowa Wave was the best new tradition in 2017, and it remains one of the best parts of college football in 2018.
The tradition began last season after the UI Children’s Hospital was constructed directly adjacent to Kinnick Stadium. The location of the hospital allows patients and families to watch the football games from the hospital.
To recognize those in the hospital, Iowa began the tradition of having everyone in the stadium turn and wave towards the hospital following the end of the first quarter. The tradition was phenomenal in 2017 and continues to be heart-warming this season. Seeing it happen under the lights of a night games makes it look even better.
The Big Ten Network shared the video of Saturday’s Iowa Wave, the first under the lights in 2018. It continues to be one of the most beautiful moments in all of sports:
