It’s not every day that we witness a burglary happening.
However, on Thursday, former Michigan Wolverines two-time All-American wrestler A.J. Grant knew something wrong was going on. His dog was barking, and Grant was doing dishes at the time. That’s when he spotted somebody in his neighborhood running with stolen lawn equipment.
Grant not only caught the suspect and stopped the act. He also wrestled him to the ground and reportedly had him pinned. Grant also said that at one point off camera during the altercation, he was punched in the head.
That, of course, didn’t stop Grant.
“I guess it’s part of being neighbors, really,” Grant told the local TV station. “I mean, he’s in here stealing things from people, and I just wanted to make sure he got in trouble for what he did.”
Grant wrestled at Michigan from 1999-2003 and was an All-American in 2001 and 2003. Both of those years he finished fourth at the NCAA championships.
