WATCH: Former Michigan QB Wilton Speight announces transfer destination

Wilton Speight is hoping for roses in his future.
The former Michigan quarterback announced Thursday that he will be transferring to UCLA. Speight made his announcement via an Instagram video in a post which includes a rose emoji and a shot of the Rose Bowl stadium.
Speight, a former three-star prospect in the class of 2014, originally committed to Michigan on Feb. 6, 2013. As a graduate transfer, Speight will be eligibile to play for UCLA immediately in the 2018 season. In his UM career, Speight was 257-of-437 passing for 3,192 yards. He threw 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Speight was sidelined for much of the 2017 season after suffering three fractured vertebrae in the Purdue game on Sept. 23. He announced his intentions to transfer after the season and graduated in December.
