You read it right.
On Sunday, a former Ohio State offensive lineman caught a TD pass. Taylor Decker, a current OL for the Detroit Lions, played for the Buckeyes and got drafted in the First Round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
A little more background on Decker: He played basketball in high school. He’s athletic, despite what his 311-pound frame may show.
Take a look at Decker’s TD catch against the Los Angeles Rams:

A lot of weird stuff happening today. https://t.co/w65dqB2aVQ

The Rams, of course, weren’t expecting Decker to head out for a pass. Sure, he may have technically been a tight end here, but, really?
That’s when these plays work best. When you can throw it to an unexpected, athletic big man near the end-zone who is wide open, why not do it? Matthew Stafford — and of course Decker — had to be happy with this one.
The Lions, unfortunately, went on to lose to the Rams 30-16.
