All eyes in Buckeye Nation are on Urban Meyer and what the future holds for the head coach on administrative leave. In the meantime, it sounds like Ohio State is in good hands under interim head coach Ryan Day.

The Big Ten Network crew rolled into Columbus Wednesday as part of its coverage of fall camp around the conference. Former Ohio State QB Stanley Jackson observed OSU practice and came away with the impression that Day is up to the task at hand.

“It looked like he’s been set for this his whole life,” Jackson said.

Day is widely recognized as an up-and-coming coach, and Jackson believes he has the pedigree for a big-time coaching job.

“I think he’s poised for this moment. And the players really respond to him. I think that’s important,” Jackson said.

The full clip from the BTN crew with more analysis of Day handling camp as the acting coach can be seen in the clip below.
