WATCH: Good sign? Bald eagle lands on Notre Dame fans prior to Cotton Bowl

The pregame National Anthem ceremony did not go as planned at the Cotton Bowl.
As a part of the ceremony, a bald eagle was released that flew around the stadium. Unfortunately, instead of heading to its handler, the eagle decided to stop in a section of Notre Dame fans.
He was first spotted grabbing onto the shoulder of a Fighting Irish fan in green before flying away:
