Routinely drawing crowds in excess of 110,000, Michigan Stadium is one of college football’s greatest venues. Hosting the Army Black Knights, Ann Arbor put on an excellent weekend-long celebration of our nation’s military.
Prior to Saturday’s game, the Black Daggers, the parachute demonstration team for the United States Army Special Operations Command, parachuted onto the field to a roaring ovation.

Surviving 24-21 in double-overtime, Michigan got all they could handle from the Black Knights. Putting the football on the turf four times, the Wolverines overcame three fumbles to move to 2-0.
Having taken Oklahoma to overtime in Norman in 2018, the Black Knights have been a pesky out for Power Five teams over the last two years. Prior to Saturday’s loss, Army had won 10 straight games.
Michigan is idle on September 14 before traveling to Madison for a showdown with the Wisconsin Badgers on September 21.
