A high school in Alabama already has the top football moment of the year.
Jake Hyde, and 18-year-old senior at Vestavia Hills High School, was the highlight of the game after making a long touchdown run in his team’s jamboree game against Briarwood Christian.
The senior, who has Down Syndrome, sped past defenders and sprinted to the end zone where he celebrated with his teammates:
My brother, Jake, is 18 & a senior at Vestavia. He also happens to have Down Syndrome. Tonight 2 teams helped to make his dream come true! pic.twitter.com/uLoP3KH8KR

After he was done celebrating with his team, Hyde pumped up the fans and had a touchdown celebration of his own to share:

This is just one example of why sports, and high school football, is so special.
That’s one unforgettable moment for everyone involved.
