Sometimes, touchdowns involve some luck. And the Iowa Hawkeyes’ first touchdown against the North Texas Mean Green definitely had some luck to it.
Iowa’s first score against North Texas was a eight yard touchdown pass from quarterback Nate Stanley to tight end T.J. Hockenson. However, it was not originally intended for Hockenson.
The reason why the ball landed into Hockenson’s hands was because the pass was tipped and took a favorable bounce into his clutches.

That score was Stanley’s ninth touchdown pass of the season.
