Iowa’s season opener against Wyoming has been dubbed by many as one of those “sneaky” good matchups. Kirk Ferentz can confirm that.
The Hawkeyes head coach was on BTN recently to talk about a variety of topics, but mostly discussed the decision to name Nathan Stanley the starting quarterback and previewed Saturday’s matchup against the Cowboys.
Ferentz agreed that Wyoming QB Josh Allen is one of the top passers in the country and that head coach Craig Bohl has the Cowboys playing at an extremely high level.
Here’s what else Ferentz had to say about the upcoming game:

BTN has predicted that Wyoming has the best chance to pull off an upset this week against Iowa.
Ferentz understands this will be a difficult game and the Hawkeyes need to play extremely well to walk out of Kinnick Stadium with a victory.
