After one of the most intense games of the season in college football, Penn State head coach James Franklin had to address one of the silliest issues of the day.
In Franklin’s post-game presser following the Nittany Lions’ 21-19 victory over Iowa, he finished his statements up by addressing a skit that was done during College GameDay. Comedian Keegan-Michael Key — who looks very similar to Franklin — dressed in Penn State garb and talked about “icing” Georgia State’s kicker a week ago.
For most, it was quite obvious that the man on the GameDay set was not Franklin. But according to the Penn State head coach, he received “about a hundred nasty messages” from people who thought it was him.

In case you missed it, here was the skit that Franklin is referencing in the video.

Penn State won Saturday’s game with a walk-off touchdown pass from Trace Mcsorley to Juwan Johnson to stun a packed house at Kinnick Stadium. The Nittany Lions are now 4-0 and 1-0 in B1G play.
Franklin’s right, it’s ridiculous that he had to address this issue after such an incredible victory to open the conference season.
