When Jeff Brohm took the head coaching job at Purdue, he wanted his family to be a huge part of the team. That was one of the deals for the ex-Western Kentucky coach before arriving in West Lafayette.
That also meant that Brohm’s son, Brady, would be on the sideline in the role as “get-back” coach.
Purdue, of course, agreed to those terms. And, so far, it has really paid off for the Black and Gold.
It’s not out of the ordinary for a coach’s son to be involved with a program. It’s not even unprecedented for a family member to be on the sidelines during games. But to have an actual coaching title? That part is a little unique for a teenager.
Big Ten Network’s Mike Hall sat down with Jeff and Brady Brohm recently to talk about their relationship and the youngster’s actual role with the team. And it might be one of the most memorable Purdue interviews you’ll see this season.
