Remember when Mark Dantonio fired off a tweet saying “It’ll never be over, it’s just getting started”? Well, it really is just getting started.
Both Jim Harbaugh and Dantonio had the opportunity to weigh in on the pre-game scuffle prior to Saturday’s matchup between Michigan and Michigan State immediately after the contest. But the questions trickled over to Monday during Harbaugh’s weekly press conference.
The Michigan head coach held nothing back.
Harbaugh said he had proof that it was pre-planned and said it was an “orchestrated Storm Trooper march.” He also said that calling the act “bush league” was putting it mildly.
“Michigan State locked arms and used every inch of the field in their walk in an attempt of going through or over our guys in a physical manner,” Harbaugh said. “To call that unsportsmanlike or to call that bush league is putting it mildly. That could’ve been a real unfortunate incident.
“That’s the opposite of B.S. Coach [Dantonio] said it was B.S. It was not.”

Immediately following the game, Harbaugh called the act bush league and accused Dantonio of smiling during the incident.
Dantonio said Harbaugh’s claim was “B.S.”
But Harbaugh wasn’t finished with Michigan State. He further commented on the situation, using Dantonio’s words from a few years ago against the Spartans.
“I’ll go one step further and use Coach Dantonio’s words from a few years back,” Harbaugh said. “‘It’s not a product of their team but of their program.’ Again, that’s using his words. That could’ve been an unfortunate deal.”
Harbaugh and Dantonio are now 2-2 in the series following Michigan’s win on Saturday. Things are going to get really interesting on a year-to-year basis.
