Josey Jewell was hyped after intercepting one of Trace McSorley’s passes on Saturday, and he wanted the Penn State quarterback to know.
Late in the first half, Penn State was hoping to build on its 5-0 lead. But as McSorley dropped back on one play, he was hit while throwing, causing him to misfire. Jewell was in the right spot to record the interception for the Hawkeyes.
After running 31 yards and setting up an Iowa touchdown, the linebacker stole McSorley’s patented home run swing celebration.

The interception set up a Hawkeyes touchdown and gave Iowa a 7-5 lead at the half.
Jewell’s pick was just part of an incredible half. The linebacker recorded eight tackles and two tackles for loss against the Nittany Lions.
It was the first interception for Jewell this season and was the second thrown by McSorley.
