Lee Corso didn’t feel like sticking around very long during the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night. So he didn’t.

College GameDay had a setup in Nashville for Thursday’s NFL Draft, providing a college perspective to the event. But with the draft not kicking off until 8 p.m. and rain coming down hard in the area, one of the show’s staples decided to take off.

Corso left after just 11 picks in the NFL Drat. He stood up while Rece Davis was mid-sentence, said his goodbyes and walked off the set. That’s the luxury of being a living legend:

Corso didn’t mention why he was living, but said “I gotta go,” and “see you guys in the fall.”

The draft did last until around midnight on Thursday and the weather wasn’t the best. After seeing the top 10 picks, Corso was done. Hey, when you’ve been working on College GameDay as long as he has, you can do pretty much whatever you want.

We’ll see you in the fall, Lee.
