People expected this year to be the year that the Wolverines and Jim Harbaugh break through the Big Ten East division and win the entire conference. Ohio State has a new head coach and starting quarterback. Michigan was supposed to have this explosive, new-look offense under new offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.

Through the first game-and-a-half, none of these expectations have proven to be true.

The offense doesn’t look good and the offensive line is part to blame. Gattis’ up-tempo system hasn’t gotten Michigan’s explosive athletes the ball into open space like fans imagined.

In the first game of the season, Michigan beat Middle Tennessee 40-21, but there were issues in the 19-point victory. In game two, against Army on Saturday, the game wasn’t supposed to be a complete blowout, but in Ann Arbor, the maize and blue were favored to win by 22 points.

Going into halftime, Michigan attempted a field goal and missed.

Army led 14-7.

What was the Wolverines’ fans reaction to it all? A boo fest:

Yikes. Michigan needs to get it together if it wants to avoid a disaster at home.
