James Franklin might want to talk with his tight end about his touchdown celebrations.

Late in the second quarter, Penn State took a 21-13 lead over Michigan after Trace McSorley scored on a quarterback keeper. There was nothing unusual about that play until the Nittany Lions quarterback was in the end zone.

And then things got a little concerning.

That’s when talented tight end Mike Gesicki charged at McSorley and hurdled his starting quarterback. No, that’s not a typo. There’s video evidence to prove it actually happened.

All it takes is one misstep and it goes from harmless celebration to devastating injury.

To give Gesicki some credit, it does make a ridiculous amount of athleticism — especially for someone at his size — to hurdle another human being. Still, that’s a little too risky to be doing at this point, or any point, in the season.

Franklin might want to think about putting the nix on that kind of celebration soon.
