Illinois performance against Nebraska on Friday night unraveled in three phases: bad to worse to embarrassing.
The Illini were outmatched in the B1G clash and it really started to show in the second half. The Huskers wore down Lovie Smith’s crew and piled it on Illinois late in the game. Really, the game could be summarized in one play.
Stanley Morgan caught a pass from Tanner Lee and stiff-armed an Illini defender the entire way to the end zone.
