Is it a catch or is it not a catch?
Did he have possession? Was there a football move? Was his right toe on the line or was he inbounds?
These are the questions we ask ourselves every single weekend. Recently, though, catch rules have been changed more in favor of the offense. On Saturday, in the Northwestern-Wisconsin game, Wildcats WR Bennett Skowronek probably benefited from the more favorable rule.
Skowronek made what looked like a 32-yard diving catch against the Badgers in the early portion of the second quarter and it was originally ruled incomplete. You can see the ball hit the turf, but it looked like the 6-foot-4 junior receiver had possession of the ball throughout the process.

Another angle:
It's a catch, following replay, and a fantastic catch it was.
Well done, @NUFBFamily WR @BSkowronek10. 👏 pic.twitter.com/viZUIbAbNc

The play itself was reviewed and the officials ended up reversing the call and giving Skowronek the catch.
