Ohio State quarterback commit Quinn Ewers was impressive last weekend last weekend at Steve Clarkson’s QB camp.
He was named “Top performer” and drew comparisons to Patrick Mahomes for his effort.
It’s not hard to see why. Ewers can make throws from a variety of arm slots and has incredible arm strength. Here’s a video of Ewers launching a pass 70 yards into the air:

That’s tough for any quarterback, let alone someone who hasn’t even started their senior year of high school yet.
I’ve watched a lot of QBs do this over the years and very few — including guys who went on to be first rounders — can hit 70 yards https://t.co/r2KTZa7Nd3

Ewers is the No. 1 overall player in the country for 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s been committed to the Buckeyes since November of 2020.
The 5-star prospect hails from Texas. He attends Southlake High School in Southlake, Texas, which is near Dallas. He was originally committed to the Longhorns, but had a change-of-heart near the end of the Tom Herman era in Austin.
Ewers will be eligible to sign with Ohio State during the Early Signing Period in December.
