Who says the skills learned in drama club can’t be used on the football field?

Well, if you’re a doubter that football and theatre can mesh, one Ole Miss player is here to prove you wrong.

During Saturday’s game between Arkansas and Ole Miss, Rebel defensive end Qaadir Sheppard decided to put his acting skills to the test. At the end of a play, a Razorback gave the Sheppard a nudge, which was then turned into a theatrical presentation.

Behold, one of the best acting jobs you may ever see:

The best part? It worked! It resulted in a 15-yard penalty against Arkansas.

Well, that was the best part for Ole Miss. Fans of Arkansas, as well as the players and coaches, probably didn’t enjoy it as much.

Ole Miss defeated Arkansas 37-33. So that was probably a pretty important penalty.

Don’t ever think that those skills on the stage don’t translate to the field. And in case you need some acting tips, don’t be afraid to hit up someone in the Ole Miss theatre department.
