You know a team is struggling when one of the best plays of a game comes on a punt. But that was the story for Northwestern during Saturday’s match-up against Iowa.

Early in the third quarter, the Wildcats were held to a three-and-out on the first possession of the second half. And with Northwestern sitting inside its own 20-yard line, it looked like the Hawkeyes would have incredible field position.

But then Northwestern punter Hunter Niswander put a boot to the ball and watched it sail 80 (Eight-Zero) to the Iowa 2-yard line. It was nothing short of remarkable.

To be fair to Northwestern and Niswander, this punt is one of the best of the season. It just isn’t great that it served as one of the top highlights for the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.

Still, that was one impressive punt.
