WATCH: Oregon just ran the worst trick play of bowl season

The Redbox Bowl has not produced a lot of highlights, and this trick play by Oregon was one of the worst plays of the game.
Michigan State’s defense has dominated much of the game. However, a lackluster offense has put the Spartans in a 7-6 hole late in the fourth quarter.
With the offense unable to do much, Oregon was driving for what could have been a game-clinching score. Instead of going for a field goal, the Ducks dialed up a trick formation.
It’s hard to tell what the play was designed to be as the Spartans swarmed the punter from the snap. It resulted in a sack and turnover-on-downs for the Ducks:
