One of the big questions for Minnesota heading into the 2018 season is who will be the starting quarterback.
Head coach P.J. Fleck anticipates a “neck-and-neck” camp battle between true freshman Zack Annexstad and redshirt freshman Tanner Morgan. Fleck shared what he’ll be looking for from his future starting quarterback.
“Consistency. Decisive decisions. Who can own the mistakes they make?” Fleck said at a recent press conference.
He reminded reporters that winning the job in training camp does not necessarily mean the player will keep the job throughout the season.
“I want to see consistency. Winning the team – off the field, on the field,” Fleck said.
His full answer is available in the video below.
