Penn State running back Noah Cain watched fellow 2019 recruit and back Devyn Ford rush for an 81-yard touchdown, which was the first of his career, in the first half.

Cain joined the fun, making his college football debut a memorable one as well. Early in the third quarter, Cain rushed for a three-yard touchdown, reaching the end zone untouched.

Cain’s score gave the Nittany Lions a 58-0 lead against Idaho with more than 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Cain was the fourth Penn State running back to reach the end zone in Week 1. In addition to Cain and Ford, Journey Brown and Ricky Slade scored touchdowns in the first half.

Like Ford, Cain was a Top 6 running back in the 2019 recruiting class according to 247Sports. Both are expected to be major pieces of the Penn State offense over the next three seasons.

Cain has started his career with two yards on two carries with the touchdown.
