Purdue isn’t afraid of a Heisman Trophy winner.

It looked like Louisville would take an early 7-0 against Purdue. After all, the Cardinals needed just over a yard and have Lamar Jackson under center. But the Boilermakers brought stuffed Louisville at the goal line, forced a fumble and got the ball into good field position.

Danny Ezechukwu recovered the fumble and got it past the 35-yard line for Purdue.

It was exactly the kind of start the Boilermakers needed against a nationally ranked opponent.
