Two. Make that two huge stops for the Purdue defense against No. 16 Louisville.

In the first quarter, the Boilermakers shut down the Cardinals offense just short of the goal line, forcing and recovering a fumble to end a potential scoring drive. But Purdue wasn’t satisfied with just that one stop.

So the Boilermakers did the exact same thing in the second quarter.

Purdue took a 14-10 lead into the half.

Regardless of how the Purdue-Louisville game ends, the Boilermakers already look a lot more competitive under Jeff Brohm.
