In order for Purdue to hang with Wisconsin in Madison, the Boilermakers are going to have make some plays.
Garrett Hudson made one early in the game.
In the second quarter, Wisconsin was preparing to punt on a fourth-down situation. But Hudson blew past Wisconsin’s linemen and completely laid out to block the Badgers’ punt. It was a huge play for the black and gold.

Unfortunately for the Boilermakers, Hudson’s incredible play went unrewarded, as Purdue missed a field goal attempt that would’ve cut the lead to 14-6 midway into the second quarter.
Purdue is going to need more plays like that to pull of the upset at Camp Randall Stadium.
