WATCH: Referee in Oklahoma-FAU game lays out wide receiver

Hard-hitting tackles are made all the time in football.
On Saturday in the Oklahoma-Florida Atlantic game, that was no different. What was different, however, was who made one of those impactful tackles.
On this play, it was a referee.
Take a look:

I mean, that just looked painful. What was odd about it was that the referee just stood there as the receiver ran at him. There was no move made by either the player or referee to get out of the way.
Linebackers and defensive backs, take note. The referee may be next up on the depth chart.
