Former Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier was seriously injured in December while trying to make a tackle against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Pittsburgh Steelers star was carted off the field with a spinal injury and is still working his way back to full strength.
However, on Saturday, he made the trip to Columbus, making an appearance during the first quarter of Ohio State’s spring game. As you can see in the video below, shared by the Big Ten Network on Twitter, Shazier pumped up the Buckeye crowd:
It’ll be tough to top this @B1Gfootball spring moment.

Whether or not Shazier ever plays football again remains to be seen, but the fact that he’s standing and walking a bit on his own is great to see.
His hard work to get back function of his legs is an inspiration, and he’ll keep working hard until he’s fully recovered from the scary injury.
